Civic Accordion Museum «Mariano Dallapè»
|
|
The collection is housed by the Centro Culturale Polivalente. The museum consists of three sections: a documentary area which includes Dallapè's first accordion (1876), the detailed reproduction of a craftsman's workshop with original tools dating back to the 19'th century and display of instruments presenting visitors with a complete overview of the evolution of the accordion.

The museum is a not-for-profit subsidiary of Accordion-Concertina Repair and Technicians\ School and affiliate of the American Accordionists' Association, Inc. The founders: Duane Sellman and Helmi Strahl Harrington, Ph. D.

The museum is located in 17th-century rooms of the City Hall in Piazza della Repubblica. The museum is effective in teaching the history of the accordion through its display of instruments and accompanying photographs making it possible to follow the evolution of this popular instrument, its history and development.

Ransäter Dragspelsexpo - the unique accordion's adobe in Nordic countries. It was founded in 1990 by American Gunvor Ohlander and has grown gradually to a museum. The Dragspelsexpo has numerous donators among visitors during annual dragspel festival «Bälgspel vid Landsvägskanten». It's also organizing music expeditions around the country and educational workshops.
